We opened Dundee's first 100% Flower Shop in 1974. Up until then, most florists were a junior section within Greengrocer / Fruitier businesses and as such, this move towards flowers only together with locating out with the confines of City Centre trading areas was, at that time, an untried venture.
By providing our customers with quality flowers and expertise in floristry - a skill acquired over some years of experience, our reputation was eventually established and drawing customers from all areas of City, and beyond.
Today, we still provide the high standards our customers have come to expect from us. We started web trading in 1999 and now trade solely on the internet , having done so since 2002. The change over from fixed retail units to internet use was prompted by fact that many of our customers tended to 'phone, e-mail or use our webshop to place orders and so the decision was taken to move to workshop only, thereby ensuring our customers would benefit from the lower costs involved - getting a higher flower content in their orders.
Our webshop shows a substantial range of items to be had and almost all can be altered to suit your own preference, also, if you cannot find what you are looking for, either 'phone or e-mail us, we are sure we can fill your request.
Over the years we have prepared most of what can be done with flowers, from simple presentations to the most elaborate wedding displays and unusual personal funeral tributes, so we can say that we have covered all customers requirement - bearing that some requests cannot, even with our experience, be accomplished.
Although we have a section showing Bridal Flowers, this is done for guideline purposes only being as no two Brides have same ideas on how their bouquets should be styled or of the flower content. We have successfully prepared bridal flowers from e-mail exchanges only, however we would prefer a personal consultation to ensure that we retain our 100% satisfaction rate in preparation of styles and flowers.
When you experience a beareavement, it is understandable that you need to seek outside help in making arrangements for the funeral. It is at this point you are at your most vuleranable position and most likely to accept offer from Funeral Directors to take care of all preparations, including your floral tributes. If you allow your tributes to be ordered via Funeral Directors you will pay more for this service than ordering direct from ourselves (or any other reputable Florist). We have an extensive range of floral tributes shown on our webshop where you can view, in the sancutary of your own home at any time of day or night without any pressure to make a decision on what is a very personal and final act for your loved one.
